INVENTION (a technical solution, device, or method)

An unpatented invention can be easily exploited by competitors, and any investments in it are extremely risky.

Obtaining legal protection for an invention legally certifies its novelty, inventive step (non-obviousness), and industrial applicability. It also confirms your status as the first inventor of that technical solution.

What an invention patent offers its owner?

Primarily, a patent grants exclusive rights to the invention for which it was issued. This means that no one can use the patented invention without the patent holder's permission (to manufacture, distribute, sell, or use it to produce other goods).

The patent holder can prohibit or permit any person from using the invention. Patent infringement is a serious offense and entails significant administrative, civil-law, and even criminal penalties.
